Edible Garbage

Do you ever have one of those days, or weeks, when you get home from work, tired and hungry. You look in the fridge and although you see "things" and you have "stuff" in your pantry that you could probably put together a meal, the thought and effort to do so just drains any remaining life you have left for the day.

This is my life. The other day Wrigley pulled a bag of Texas size croutons out of the pantry. That's right, my son LOVES eating croutons plain, like a cracker or chip. The best part, I kept giving them to him. And subsequently the dog too because whatever Wrigley eats, Mojo eats.

Tonight, I'm looking in the fridge and Wrigley pulls the ketchup out of the fridge and takes it to the table. I give him some Ritz crackers and he's trying to open the ketchup bottle. So I get him a bowl and put some ketchup in it. This is my son's dinner. He's eating cheese slices, while dipping the crackers in the ketchup.

Surely there's got to be a Mother-of-the-Year Award for this kind of parenting, right?! :)
